Endemic to Bolivia; it has a lovely red flowered inflorescene which is rare among Tillandsia when in bloom.
In its natural habitat; this species is a cliff-dwelling caulescent (grows elongated from the stem) species as well as a high altitude plant. It prefer bright filtered light but not very hot temperature. It is a very hardy plant though but slow growing. And Edithae has thick and frim leaves which gives a kind of dusty yet velvety feel. It soaks easily and dries well unlike other plants which soak well but don’t dry out well.
