Selenicereus chrysocardium also called as Fern Leaf (orchid) cactus due to their foilage and flower. This is a wild zig-zag leafed epiphytic cactus native to Mexico. They are also formerly know as Epiphyllum chrysocardium, is an epiphytic, spineless cactus. It is an interesting plant. They belongs to the epiphyllum group and is easy to propagate and grow. It has angled stems, producing aerial roots, and white, beautiful flowers but is great to have just for its striking leaves. Flowers are white and produce abundance with mature plants. They the flowers are very fragrant but usually last a single night.
Keep this epiphytic plant in bright shade, soil moist and well drained.
The plant of about 40-45 cm in height comes potted in a hanging plastic nursery pot. You can also repot it into a standing pot form or craft it to a cork bark with sphagnum moss.
