Rhaphidophora tetrasperma (D10cm)
Rhaphidophora tetrasperma is a beautiful, fast-growing vining plant that develops wide slits in the leaves as it matures. Although nicknamed the ‘Mini Monstera’ it actually looks quite different from the popular Monstera deliciosa, as it forms wider and less slits and typically doesn’t form holes in the leaves. It also doesn’t grow as large as the M. deliciosa, and the leaves are a bit more pointed towards the tip.
Rhaphidophora is a genus of flowering plants in the Araceae family, commonly known as the Aroid family. Most of the species are climbing plants, and some are sought after for their shingling habit. Its epiphytic nature makes it suitable as a houseplant as it is adapted to a range of light conditions. Rhaphidophora is closely related to the Monstera genus.
