




Portulaca molokiniensis, known also as 'ihi, is a succulent plant endemic to Hawaii. This plant is federally listed as an endangered species. It has small yellow flowers and when grown from seed may produce a caudex. The thick rounded cupped leaves are arranged uniformly opposite each other in four rows along the thick succulent stems. 'Ihi is a naturally evergreen small shrubby succulent with upright to trailing stems that grows to about 12" x 12" making it the perfect choice for a unique container specimen. Clusters of sunny yellow cupped flowers may be produced any time during the growing season, spring to fall, on well established plants.
