Philodendron billietiae has got to be one of the most stunning philodendron species around.
With its bright orange petioles and green leaves, it puts on a show as it climbs up a totem. The beautiful leaves are leathery with scalloped edges and each blade is topped by sharply upward pointing lobes.
An interesting thing about this philodendron is that it is considered a hemiepiphyte. Meaning that in nature it can grow attached to a tree as an orchid would or be growing in the ground as a normal philodendron would.
Care for it in a shady bright location with a well draining soil mix and water when top one third of the soil is dry.
