Peperomia argyreia (Watermelon Peperomia)

Peperomia argyreia, the watermelon peperomia is a species of flowering plant in the family Piperaceae, native to northern South America. The leaves are rounded, fleshy marked with silver and dark green stripes. It resemble the markings of a watermelon fruit but it is not related to it.

Watermelon peperomia is a tropical plant that prefers humid conditions but is prone to stem rot in soggy soil.

Water thoroughly when the top inch to two inches of soil is dry. Allow the soil to dry out a bit between waterings. If the leaves droop or feel a bit thin, it may also be time to water.

The product comes in a brown plastic nursery pot. (White ceramic pot is not included and it is for illustration purposes only)
