Huperzia is a genus in the non-flowering family Lycopodiaceae, sometimes referred to as clubmosses. Many plants in these genus were previously classified under the Lycopodium genus and many have now been placed in the genus Phlegmariurus. However, the synonyms are still being used. They are terrestrial or epiphytic, with the epiphytic varieties making great hanging plants. They are non-flowering plants and reproduce by spores.
