Calathea roseopicta comes in many cultivated varieties. This one is unique for its dark green leaves and minimal markings on the foliage, giving it an overall sharp look.

Calathea is a genus in the Marantaceae family, also known as the Prayer Plant family, so named because plants in this family ‘open’ and ‘close’ their leaves over the course of day and night. They are sought-after for their beautiful foliage that is frequently described as ‘hand-painted’. Originating from the tropical Americas, Calatheas are typically found along the forest floors, hence they are well adapted to low light conditions. They also prefer high humidity. You can achieve this with regularly misting, running a humidifier nearby, or grouping your plants closer together.

This product comes in a brown nursery pot (D10-14cm).
