Alocasia Bambino
Alocasia Bambino is a relatively small leafed alocasia with dark green foliage, contrasting light green veining and a dark purple underside. Its paper cutout-like leaves give this plant a quirky appearance.
Alocasia is a genus in the Araceae family, commonly referred to as the Aroid family. Despite its nickname ‘Elephant Mask’ or ‘African Mask’, species from this genus originate from tropical and subtropical parts of Asia and Eastern Australia.
These plants typically grow close to the ground, but some species can grow to have quite large leaves as the plant matures in the right conditions. Alocasia are notoriously prone to spider mites, so we recommend doing preventative care and regular inspection of both the top and undersides of the leaves.
