Hoya compacta variegata

 This is a rare collectible Hoya.

Hoya compacta variegata has the same waxy and curly twisted leaves form of normal Hoya compacta - "Hindu rope"

Unlike the usual Hoya compacta (green form) which is a fast grower. However the other two Hoya compacta variegata (green leaf with a white margin) and Hoya compacta variegata regalis (white leaf with a green margin) are both very slow growers. Probably due to lack of chlorophyll in the leaves. 

Most Hoya does not like to dry out, but doesn't like to have too wet soil – keep medium slightly damp. They also do not like to be moved around too much. Keep the plant at where it is once they are happy with where they are. They prefer bright shade and medium humidity. Most Hoya serves well as a hanging plant but there is no rules to say that they cannot look just as good to be in a non hanging form too. Be creative with the display.
